“What’s a devil?”

That’s something we get asked from time to time. Whether it’s “why does it say devil on your license plate?” or “why’d you leave the bar early?”. The answer, like anything interesting in life is: it depends.

Let’s start with the dictionary. I’m pretty sure we all know what Webster’s or the OED will say about the word so let’s check out the trusty ol’ Urban Dictionary. Hrmmm, not much help either. While looking up your last name in UD can be surprisingly revealing, in this case it’s all pretty standard anti-Christ stuff although the part about him being “…created by God in 1977 as an alternative to Queen frontman Freddie Mercury…” is interesting.

Whether or not a guy is a devil is first and foremost a visual thing. And, seeing how this is a photo blog, let’s define the word with pictures.

Devils are blond. Usually. Except when they aren’t. See dark devil or ginger devil for reference.

Devils are big. Usually big means muscle but sometimes it boarders on tubby. Don’t judge. A devil kid probably got called “husky”. Unlike hair color, there isn’t an exception to this rule. There is no such thing as a skinny devil. However, devils can be, and often are, short. They just have to be wide, too.

Devils are cute. Not much to explain here. Sometimes, being big and blond is enough, which is why this is third in the list.

Devils make you want to do bad things. This is the most important and it trumps everything else. It’s also why they’re called devils. If you find yourself putting your better judgment aside, you’ve got a devil.

      • Great site. Spotted a true amazing Devil at store, (blond crew, 6-2, 30 inch shoulder’s, 220 lb.) seemed friendly, but was too shy to ask him if I could take a picture, any suggestion’s..?

      • I’ve thought about saying “you look just like my fraternity brother! I gotta get a picture to send to him…” But no idea if that would work. You could always try the direct approach.

      • Hey Goose: A big blond devil just bought a fence from me. I asked for a picture..lol. He was cool, and said he had to go. I am still chuckling over it, I had the cajones, and he was cool, and didn’t flatten me. I feel I still came out ahead. Have a good weekend.

      • Can you get more of the Military amputee guy’s? They are the bravest, and also handsome as ‘the devil’. Great site. Thanks. JJ

  1. Thank you for this great blog. “Devils” look dangerous, but at the same time you can’t help adoring them. Doesn’t this instinct go way back to tribal society, where the brutes of the tribe were also our beloved defenders and heroes?

  2. I do not get the comments about the racist card….People are sexually attracted to what they are sexually attracted to; period. Racism doesn’t figure into our sexual turn ons. It has nothing to do with it. What turns people on is not racist.

  3. I’m not even gay and I love to look at the guys you post on the website here. They are all doing masculine things. Could you get some construction guys too, that would be awesome. Love the construction devils.

  4. I love the devils you show in wifebeaters. There is something about blonde dudes with tats and muscles, wearing a beater, That really gets me going. Love to look and even more fun to touch when I can, which ain’t too often, sadly.
